Operations Technician

Bangkok-Thailand

Function: Technicians / Trades & Services
Type: Full-time

As Operations Technician, you are responsible for providing configuration, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of Vallen’s commercial machines to ensure that they are functional and efficient.

About the role
  • Configure, install, test and commission new machines.
  • Perform calibration and configuration on existing machine.
  • Monitor machine running performance & device improvement planning.
  • Facilitate regular equipment maintenance to keep machines in working order and minimize downtime.
  • Write reports to document work done on the machines.
  • Apply adhesives, lubricants or other materials to machine as well as other equipment in accordance with procedures.
  • Ensure proper safety and procedure related to the machines.
  • Provide field service training to internal users and customers.
  • Maintain database of internal and external product test data.
  • Ensure world class customer service is achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with Vallen’s policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Electronics Engineering or other related disciplines
  • Experience in machine services

Planning Manager

As Planning Manager, you lead planning, purchasing and inventory control to maintain service levels, optimise stock availability, and align procurement activities with Vallen’s business priorities.

About the role
  • Develop, execute, and monitor supply chain planning strategies to control costs within budgetary limits, generate tactical savings, optimize inventory levels, and improve working capital while ensuring operational readiness to meet customer requirements
  • Manage planning priorities, operational risks, and supply chain disruptions to support business continuity and service reliability
  • Monitor and optimize inventory levels by minimizing excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory, including management of own-risk inventory and follow-up on depletion activities
  • Establish and drive procurement and planning procedures for the acquisition, receiving, and tracking of goods to optimize quality, cost, and delivery performance while ensuring cost efficiency
  • Develop and implement procurement and planning policies, procedures, and improvement plans to close operational gaps and enhance compliance, process efficiency, and ERP/MRP system utilization
  • Coordinate closely with Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics, Operations, and Key Account/Sales teams to ensure timely replenishment, operational efficiency, and customer delivery fulfilment
  • Build a high-performance team culture by leading, coaching, and developing the planning team while fostering teamwork, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across functions
  • Ensure world-class customer service standards are consistently achieved through effective planning, communication, and operational support
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related discipline

About the role
  • Develop and deliver Annual Business Development and Sales Plans to improve short-term and long-term sales and margin.
  • Must be able to hunt and generate new business by prospecting, cold calling or leveraging on existing contacts.
  • Analyse sales and margin performance, produce forecast, develop strategies to effectively manage existing sales opportunities and create new ones. The ultimate goal is achieving and exceeding sales and margin targets.

Requirements

  • Industrial sales experience

  • Market knowledge about MRO or industrial products
  • Good knowledge in cutting tools, hand tools etc
  • Ability to think strategically and communicate effectively with all levels of management
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and apply problem-solving skills
  • People management experience with demonstrated cross-group leadership
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and work effectively under deadlines
  • Understanding of financial concepts such as sales and margin
